Pastor Rocky Martinez was born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in Farmington, New Mexico. At the age eighteen, he surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus and accepted the call of God on his life.

Pastor Rocky has traveled around the world while serving in the military. He had the awesome opportunity to minister, evangelize and witness the move of God in countries such as Japan, Africa, Philippines, Korea, Australia, and Thailand. After returning to San Diego, he attended and graduated from Word Bible College where he obtained a Master degree of Theology and received his ministry training. In 1988, Pastor Rocky met his future bride Emlynrose. Today, they have been blessed with four boys dedicated to the work of the Lord.

In January 2001, he answered the mandate of the Lord to pioneer Life Christian Center in the Southern San Diego and Chula Vista area. He made a vow to Lord, “Lord I will go to the abandoned, rejected, forgotten, and unloved to bring them the love and healing power of Jesus Christ.” In February of 2004, Life Acts Outreach Ministry was birthed through Life Christian Center bringing this very statement to pass, as his heart is to win the city by the grassroots.

His desire is not to build just another church on the street corner but to “Repair the Breach and Restore the Streets.” His heart is for the local church and evangelism, building and making disciples sending them out to win the nations. His statement is “The Lord is faithful,” and “May the fame of Your Name rise from this place.”
